Bio

I am beyond excited to start my journey as an O’Farrell Falcon. Although this is my fifth year teaching, it is my first year at The O’Farrell Charter School! I will be teaching one section of English 9 Advanced, two sections of English 9 CP, and two Sections of English 10. I am also thrilled to have a 9th grade home base and grow with my home base students as we start this journey together.

I am a San Diego native and have lived in California my whole life. While coaching girls basketball and working various jobs at my alma mater Montgomery High School, I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from San Diego State University. Immediately after, I entered a dual program earning my teaching credential and masters degree in education from National University.

My passion for coaching translated into the classroom and it has been an amazing journey ever since. In my spare time I enjoy learning new recipes, working out and starting my morning with a great cup of coffee. When I do have any down time, I love spending it with my two pups and husband.

The best thing about distance learning is we are in this together. Whether we are in the classroom or not; I am ready to create an environment that enables students to acquire life-long learning skills and further critical thinking through significant and realistic situations. I hope to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities to become the bold, brilliant, and best version of themselves they can possibly be.
