Teacher Bio
Hey Falcon Folks!
I am SO excited to be joining the team this year and I look forward to working and learning together. I will be teaching three sections of English 9 and two sections of English 11. I will also be co-teaching a 10th grade Homebase with Mrs. Crompton! If you love all things organization OR you're interested in cooking and baking, I'll also be hosting two clubs with the DIVE program!
I was born and raised in San Diego, only leaving for four years to attend college in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated from Helix Charter High School, then went to UCLA where I earned my B.A., and finally attended UCSD where I earned my M.Ed.. I originally taught French for a few years, and then I earned my English Teaching Credential and made the switch! I love teaching English because language and communication are EVERYTHING!
Some fun facts not everyone knows about me: My parents immigrated to the United States from Poland before my sister and I were born, and we are both very proud to be first-generation American-born citizens. My parents taught me to always work hard, stay true to my values, and treat everyone with compassion and respect. I take the same lessons with me into the classroom! I have two dogs and I am definitely a crazy dog lady. I am also a crazy plant lady - I have no shame in my houseplant game. The beach is my happy place. I love to travel and eat my way through new cities and cultures. My ideal license plate frame would read "I'd rather be eating ice cream and cuddling my dogs."
That's me in a nutshell! I look forward to meeting you all!
