About Me: 

This is my 6th year at O'Farrell and my 10th year teaching overall. I earned my English degree at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and completed my MA in Teaching at the University of Southern California. I am passionate about language as a mode of empowerment and I want all students to feel their voice is important (and to know how to use it effectively). 

When I'm not in class, you'll often find me outdoors with my husband Dave: camping, hiking, backpacking, biking, and playing sports like Ultimate Frisbee. My favorite kind of stories are mysteries and adventure. I also love crafts, like knitting, and puzzles. I'm very close to my family and recently became an aunt - 3 nephews and 1 niece! I am so excited to travel through the year with you!
